ASEG - PESA 21st Conference & Exhibition
The Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) and Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA) invite you to participate in the 21st International Geophysical Conference & Exhibition
Come and visit Intrepid Geophysics at Booth No 66 22-26 August 2010
Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia

Intrepid Workshop - ASEG PESA
G1: Tensor Processing: Gradient Processing
This course provides participants with an introduction to quality control, gridding and filtering of
vector and full tensor datasets. You will learn to assess the quality of a tensor survey, interpret tensor
data and optimise the signal content through linear differential de-noising [MITRE] and other methods.
Saturday 21 August 2010 8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Conference Website & Workshop Registration

GeoModeller Workshop - ASEG PESA
G6: GeoModeller: Building a 3D Geology Model - Reconciled with Gravity / Magnetic Tensor Data
This one day workshop will initially introduce the 3D GeoModeller approach to building a 3D geology
model. Users will add new geology data, and revise their interpretive ideas, and will learn that geology
models can be easily revised and improved. Friday 27 August 2010 8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

JetStream web data serving
|
JetStream is a web data serving solution based on a variety of Open Data Access Protocols. With JetStream's implementation a client uses a standard web-browser to search for datasets.
The JetStream system allows the client to choose subsets of data (to minimise download). JetStream then extracts the data, and zips it for further compression. The client then initiates a standard file-transfer to download the data.
On the fly bitmap representations of the underlying geophysical data are presented via the web, so you can preview your selections until you're happy with your choice. You can then request actual data using JetStream with NO loss of precision.
