Intrepid Workshop - ASEG PESA

G1: Tensor Processing: Gradient Processing

This course provides participants with an introduction to quality control, gridding and filtering of vector and full tensor datasets. You will learn to assess the quality of a tensor survey, interpret tensor data and optimise the signal content through linear differential de-noising [MITRE] and other methods.

Saturday 21 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

GeoModeller Workshop - ASEG PESA

G6: GeoModeller: Building a 3D Geology Model - Reconciled with Gravity / Magnetic Tensor Data

This one day workshop will initially introduce the 3D GeoModeller approach to building a 3D geology model. Users will add new geology data, and revise their interpretive ideas, and will learn that geology models can be easily revised and improved.

Friday 27 August 2010
8.30 am - 5 pm
Crowne Plaza, Darling Harbour

Services—Training

We conduct both public and private training courses in:

  • Geological modelling
  • Geophysical data processing
  • Data interpretation

See our Training schedule for training currently available.

Please Contact Us to enrol in a course or to enquire about private on-site training.

Public training courses

  • Our public courses are usually in conjunction with an industry event such as a conference.
  • Each course has a downloadable enrolment form. Complete it and send it to us. See the listing of training courses below or our spot promotion in the left column of the browser window.

Facts about our training courses

  • We provide printed training notes.
  • Generally, you need to bring your own notebook computer.
  • We supply a trial copy of the software. The licence is current for at least 30 days after the course.
  • We supply case study data to use in the courses. You may bring your own data. We'll help you to process your data as long as there is time available in the course.

Private on-site training services

  • We can conduct training privately for you at your site or somewhere mutually agreed.
  • If we need to travel to your site, you will need to reimburse us for travel expenses at cost.
  • In our training schedule below we show when our staff will be in your area. This is a good time to request private training because it reduces travel costs.
  • We regularly visit Melbourne, Perth, Denver, Toronto, Dublin, Paris and Johannesburg. For private on-site training, estimate travel costs from the city that is nearest to you.
