Dr Jeff Keetley has 20+ years of petroleum, mining, geothermal, CCS sector experience in basin, and permit scale integrated geology and geophysics projects. Jeff’s core interest is in the commercialisation of technology and has technical skills in structural interpretation of 2D/3D seismic data including more specialist software including Lithotect, MVE/Geosec3d, petrel, SKUA, and 3D basin modelling. He has worked extensively on fold belts in Papua New Guinea, Bolivia, Malaysia, Iran, Indonesia, India, Oman, Pakistan, the Andes,  Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, and on rift basins along the margin of Australia into SE Asia. With a significant amount of time consulting overseas (140 projects) he has worked as a structural geophysicist focused within SE Asia, the Middle East and South America, managing international offices within the Middle East and South America.

Jeff completed his Ph.D. at the University of Melbourne. His thesis examined ‘3D Fold and Thrust structures within Papua New Guinea (PNG) Fold Belt and Cape Liptrap, Australia’ (a Chevron Joint Venture project). He previously completed a BSc with honors at La Trobe University studying the petroleum potential of West Java, Indonesia (sponsored by British Gas).
